this is one of those tracks that you start and dont know where its going, it began as a mellotron and rhythmic synth idea, then suddenly cure style guitars appeared, then a bit of mathrock, then another 80's synth and now i really don't know what to make of it, it might go in the bin, it might survive!! but its turned into a weird 80's theme, strange, but i do like trying to avoid genre typecasting sometimes, maybe it would be better as a mellotron piece or a guitar piece or an 80's synth piece but i'll see if it survives over the next few days......i dont know what blenk is....quite appropriate i guess...

another piece in the vein of the tron style stuff i was working on, this one more of a theme or triumph over the machines piece, less dance, but a little bit of vangelis in their if i dare say, bladerunner would have been terrible with an orchestral soundtrack!! its a bit cheesey but has some triumph and melancholy to it..........

well i told myself to get down to work and finish and mix the tune pile that is climbing higher and higher, finished 3 and then wrote this....its really rough, too much topend action with the 16ths but i like the feel of it, havent sussed the vocoder sound yet to sit in the mix but i like the bass breakup riff in the middle just need to unify the bass and vocals when the tune returns so it makes more sense.......but having fun with the vocoder........will promise myself to mix tomorrow, before the mountain gets unassailable.......see you soon TC

bit of bass again, but a bit more funk......found some cool 70's samples of crowds etc jammed them in with riffs and got this, trying to finish it at the mo...pretty full but getting there...
aynsley dunbar is the link, great drummer fro zappa in the flo and eddie/200 motels stage, great fills....we'll leave the whitersnake period out.....but yeah thats were my mind was wandering....right gotta crack on and see if i can finish a few more...will put up final mixes when i get through this lot!!!

Its an old trackfrom six months ago that i'm trying to finish, seems like about 2 years ago, but it was 1min50 so had to put a repeat in it, but then gragged the vocoder to add something a bit higher/floaty/frivilous to it.....so now the vocoder will be too loud as i always mix the last thing i record too loud as i'm too excited by it!!!
So gonna work through about 50 tunes and try not to write any!!! can i do it!!! probably not.....but i have a big queue of tracks to complete....someone may want them if they are finished!!
but i did start playing my acoustic last night, so maybe i can slip in a few avoustic pieces while i'm editing and mixing.......avoustic may have been a typing error or it may be the new sound that all the kids are waiting for......have a good un
